What is Hula

Hula is chant and dance.  It is history; it is the bird that bears the feathers of an ancientHula Kahiko ~ Kapua ~ July 4, 2003 culture into today’s world.  It is both kahiko, ancient hula performed with chant, and ‘auana, which is hula danced to music and song.  Hula is deeply serious and spiritual.  Hula is also raucous, silly and playful.  Hula is the lifeblood and the guardian of Hawaiian language, myth, history and genealogy. Hula is Hawai`i. Hula is life.

(Beginners) 6pm to 7:30pm      $45 per month

Likolehua Class -  (Advanced/Performing Haumana)
7:30pm to 9pm $45 per month
